Rodrigo Ayala founded Home1st Financial Inc. to build a company where understanding the client is just as important as understanding the loan. Licensed as a loan officer since 2012, he brings extensive experience in mortgage origination, team leadership, and banking operations to a business with a personal mission: helping families move forward through homeownership.
Rodrigo graduated summa cum laude from Arizona State University with a degree in psychology. That background continues to shape his approach to lending. He takes time to understand what matters to each client—their priorities, their concerns, and the future they’re working toward—so he can help them choose financing with clarity and confidence.
He began his career at one of the nation’s largest mortgage lenders, where he earned recognition as a Triple Crown Mortgage Banker. In that role, he helped fund more than $400 million in mortgages, assisting over 1,500 families with purchasing or refinancing their homes. He later led teams of 12–15 loan officers responsible for more than 1,400 funded loans annually. Across his work in origination and leadership, Rodrigo has helped support the homeownership goals of nearly 8,000 families.
His career also included serving as a Vice President at one of the nation’s leading banks, where he gained direct oversight of the lending process from the initial conversation through closing and postfunding review.
Those experiences gave Rodrigo a clear vision for Home1st Financial: combine the knowledge gained from leading within major financial institutions with attentive, personal service. Today, he leads his company with a focus on clear communication, competitive financing, and meaningful guidance, especially for communities that need it most.
For Rodrigo, being a founder means taking personal responsibility for the experience his company delivers. He wants every client to understand their options, feel comfortable asking questions, and have a team they can count on.
